This play was produced in 2006, the second play in the Trí Bhraon trilogy.

Micil and Nóra find themselves cut off at home by the rising seas. As the tide rises and the sea comes pouring in on the old couple, they find the time to debate the big questions: rising sea-levels and the receding Gaeltachts, cranky mná tí and gaeltacht colleges, Osama Bin Laden and the Ozone Layer, and, of course, LOVE. And then the man from the ‘coláistí samhraidh’ comes to rescuer them. Or does he?

An Braon Aníos (Rising Damp) is a dark comic play with very series issues. In his review in Foinse  Feargal Ó Béarra described the play as a “Salamandar of a kick do Irish language theatre”. The Salamandar company toured the country in 2006-07 with this play, and Salamandar also produced a radio version of the play for RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta in 2009.

The other two plays in the trilogy, Coinneáil Orainn and Craos, are available from Leabhar Breac.
