A collection of essays — ranging from scholarship, drama and literature — that emerged from the Éigse na Bruséile 2022 conference.

The first Éigse na Bruséile was held in May 2022. The content of this book is a result of that first Éigse ‒ a useful and attractive aftertaste of some of the events that took place during it. There is the old: a comprehensive account of the historical connection that the Irish have with the area that is now called ‘Belgium’. There is the new: an insightful analysis of the contemporary state of the Irish language in Ireland and internationally. And there is the eternal: a taste of both drama and literature.

The authors include Professor Micheál Mac Craith, Pádraig Ó Laighin, Aogán Ó hIarlaithe, Rua Breathnach, and Liam Mac Cóil. The book was edited by Aogán Ó hIarlaithe.

This book was published under the inprint of Cló Lováin.
